Take a culinary tour of the world without leaving Rockville!
Rockville is home to over 50 global cuisines packed into one city. For the entire month of June, Explore Rockville: Global Bites turns that culinary diversity into a city-wide dining tour. Every meal you eat at a participating Rockville restaurant becomes a prize drawing entry and a donation to a local nonprofit.
No special menus. No discounts to chase. No app to download. Just dine, submit your receipt, and the rest takes care of itself!
Bonus! Visit designated Bite Sites across Rockville and collect stickers to complete a Global Bites 2026 kids’ dining passport for entries into additional prize drawings, including cooking kits and more.
Two ways to participate
- Dine anywhere across Rockville
Eat at any Rockville restaurant within city limits (excludes national chains) during June 1–30. Snap a photo of your receipt, submit it through the Global Bites form, and you’re entered into VISA gift card drawings:
- 2 unique restaurants → entry into the $50 gift card drawing
- 4 unique restaurants → entry into the $100 gift card drawing
- 6+ unique restaurants → entry into the $200 gift card drawing
Every receipt also generates a 25% donation to your selected nonprofit beneficiary.
2. Collect passport stickers at Bite Sites
A limited number of Rockville restaurants are designated Bite Sites. These are featured locations where diners receive stickers for the Global Bites dining passport. Visit a Bite Site, dine, and collect a sticker.
Fill your passport with stickers from 4 different Bite Sites, upload a photo of your completed passport, and you’re entered into a drawing for kids’ and family prizes, including cooking kits and more.
The passport program is built for families, but anyone can pick one up. Passports are available at Bite Sites starting in late May.

Who can submit a receipt?
Anyone 18 or older. You don’t have to live in Rockville to participate.
Which restaurants count?

How do I select a nonprofit?
The submission form includes a dropdown of all participating nonprofits. You can choose to have the donation split evenly across all partners.
Where do donations come from?
Donations are funded by Rockville Economic Development, Inc. (REDI) as part of the Global Bites program. For every receipt submitted, REDI donates 25% of the receipt’s value to participating nonprofits, up to a campaign maximum of $10,000. Learn more about REDI: https://rockvilleredi.org/about
When are prizes drawn?
After the campaign closes on June 30, 2026. Winners are notified via email in July.
