As a Canadian living in the US, it’s been very difficult, if not darn right impossible to find good poutine. The dish that is often advertised as poutine is nothing but a different version of cheese fries.
So, with the experience we developed with our French-Canadian owner and head of production, Stephan Beauchesne came up with his own cheese curds and uses a sauce imported from Montreal to create the best and most authentic poutine around…and we call the company, as you already guessed, PopUp Poutine. Along with Poutine, we are the only food company across the region to offer Montreal Smoked Meat, a beautifully brined brisket with a flavor profile somewhere between pastrami and corned beef. We make, from scratch, two Canadian desserts as well, a Butter Tart and something that is hard to pronounce but is highly addictive, Nanaimo Bar with its origins from British Columbia.
